Having fully served the penalty, the T20 veteran is cleared to play professional cricket.
Australian batter Chris Lynn has completed a one-month suspension following an anti-doping violation where he tested positive for the cocaine metabolite.
The independent Cricket Regulator in England revealed the details of the case, which concluded with Lynn serving his ban earlier this year.
The 36-year-old underwent a routine anti-doping test on July 18, 2026, the Finals Day of England's domestic T20 Blast, right after helping Northamptonshire win the title.
Lynn, who played for KKR and MI in the IPL, admitted to using the recreational drug out of competition during a window spanning July 15 and 16. This was the same night he retired hurt during a quarter-final fixture after taking a blow to his foot.
Under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines, the Cricket Regulator initially sought a three-month suspension. However, because the consumption was proven to be out of competition and entirely unrelated to sporting performance, and because Lynn successfully completed a "substance of abuse treatment programme," the ban was reduced to one month.
The one-month suspension was backdated to begin alongside his provisional suspension on July 31, and officially concluded on August 30.
Meanwhile, Chris Lynn has issued an official statement via his social media apologizing to Northamptonshire, his teammates, and fans, stating that his behaviour "fell well below the standards expected".
