The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on November 5, 2026, announced that the first ODI of the upcoming three-game series between India and Sri Lanka has had a venue change.

Sri Lanka will be coming to India in December this year to play three ODIs and three T20Is starting December 13 onwards. The first ODI was scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

But the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) had requested the BCCI to shift the one-day game to another venue, as they cited the issue of air pollution in winter and the proposed renovations at the venue.

The BCCI has now accepted the request of the DDCA, and the venue of the first ODI has been shifted from Delhi to the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, with no change in dates.

“The venue for the first Muthoot FinCorp ODI between India and Sri Lanka, scheduled to be played on December 13, 2026, has been shifted from Delhi to Visakhapatnam.

The venue change has been made following a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), in view of the potential weather disruption and the proposed renovation work at the stadium. The match will now be played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on December 13, 2026,” BCCI announced in a statement.

Sri Lanka will also play three T20Is after the ODI series ends.

Here is the schedule:

1st ODI, December 13, Visakhapatnam
2nd ODI, December 16, Bengaluru
3rd ODI, December 19, Ahmedabad

1st T20I, December 22, Rajkot
2nd T20I, December 24, Cuttack
3rd T20I, December 27, Pune
