Coaching staffs will begin work from upcoming tours of South Africa (Test) and Australia (white-ball), respectively.
Richard Dawson has agreed to take up the post of Elite National Spin Bowling Lead, while Mike Yardy has been selected as Elite National Batting Lead in two recently established National Lead coaching positions. Earlier this year, Troy Cooley took over as Elite National Pace Bowling Lead.
Dawson, Marcus Trescothick, James Foster, and Eric Simons are among the coaching staff that will assist England's men's test head coach Stephen Fleming. Fleming, who was associated with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for 18 years, has brought Eric Simons as well, who was CSK's bowling coach for a lengthy period of time in the IPL.
On the other hand, Brendon McCullum, the head coach of the England men's white-ball squad, has decided to bring in some Kiwi flavor to his support staff.
He has former teammates Tim Southee and Jeetan Patel as a pace bowling coach and spin bowling coach, respectively. Sarah Taylor will be assisting in fielding and wicketkeeping duties, and Kevin Pietersen will serve as a mentor.
The coaching staff will be in place for the upcoming tours of South Africa (Test) and Australia (white-ball), respectively.
England’s coaching set-up welcomes back Dawson after his two-year tenure as the Glamorgan head coach. His efforts have been successful in taking his side to Division One in the County Championship in 2025 and then defending their position there in 2026. Prior to that, he had served as England Lions coach and England Under-19s coach.
