Ryan ten Doeschate has reportedly asked for his release from the job of assistant coach of the Indian team. This might be his last week with the Indian squad if he is approved by head coach Gautam Gambhir and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

More precisely, his final day in the Indian dressing room may be July 19, the day of the third ODI against England.

Cricbuzz report stated that Ten Doeschate has previously asked the board to release him and told the BCCI that he wants to move on. According to the sources, he wants to leave for several reasons, none of which are related to job unhappiness.

But one thing is certain: if the separation does occur, as it seems most likely to, it will be a cordial farewell. The end will be amicable and mutually agreed upon.

Ryan ten Doeschate is a former Netherlands cricketer and joined the Indian team two years ago. He has completed his initial contract with the BCCI. In fact, his tenure is believed to have ended around this time - July 12-14. It looks like he is asking to be relieved immediately after the third and final ODI at Lord’s.

Ryan ten Doeschate wants to move on for personal reasons, as per the sources. He has three young sons to look after, and with his wife working, he wants to pay more attention to his family, which is located in London.

Ten Doeschate is thought to be searching for a position that requires less travel and enables him to spend more time with his family, given the significant travel obligations connected to the India job.

Additionally, he might not fully understand his position as an assistant coach. Ten Doeschate's primary area of expertise is fielding, although his participation may have been restricted because T Dilip was already the Indian team's fielding coach.

Ten Doeschate is also said to have shared a close relationship with head coach Gautam Gambhir, who had recommended his name to the BCCI after taking over as India's head coach a couple of years ago. Gambhir also relies on Ten Doeschate a lot, and there is a possibility that he might not give the green signal to his exit.
