Vaibhav Sooryavanshi congratulates his 10-year-old brother Aashirwad for scoring a century in a local game in Bihar

Vaibhav is likely to make his India debut in T20Is on the tours of Ireland and England.

Indian teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi congratulated his 10-year-old brother Aashirwad after the young lad scored a century in a local game in Bihar. Sooryavanshi, who is himself 15 years old, is currently in Sri Lanka with the India A team for the one-day tri-series.

After scoring a century in a minor practice match in Bihar, Aashirwad Sooryavanshi's performance immediately attracted attention from cricket circles.

In an innings full of attacking strokeplay, Aashirwad struck 103 off 87 balls while playing for Cricket Academy Tajpur in Samastipur. The teenage player helped his team record 234 for 4 in 29.5 overs with 20 fours and a six at a strike rate of 118.39. Cricket Academy Tajpur scored an impressive 52 thanks to Shivam Raj's contribution.

Vaibhav congratulated his younger brother and uploaded the scorecard on his Instagram account after praising the innings.

 Vaibhav has become one of the nation's most promising young cricketers thanks to his performances over the past 12 months. The left-handed opener won the Orange Cap, Most Valuable Player, and Emerging Player of the Year, amongst other accolades, after finishing IPL 2026 as the top run scorer with 776 runs. Additionally, he broke Chris Gayle's long-standing record of most sixes in a single IPL edition by hitting 72 sixes during the season.

Due to his performance, he received his first call-up to India's T20I team for the tours of England and Ireland. He was also named in the team for the 2026 Asian Games. The BCCI has asked the 15-year-old's parents to accompany him on the travels since he would be making his senior national team debut.
