India A is clashing with Afghanistan A in the second game of the one-day tri-series.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, after a silent start to his India A career in the first game of the tri-series, has shown his mettle with a brilliant cameo against Afghanistan A on June 11, 2026, in the second game. This match is being played in Dambulla, and Afghanistan A captain Imran won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Sooryavanshi and Prabhsimran Singh opened the batting for India A, adding 74 runs for the first wicket in 7 overs. Sooryavanshi took the charge with the bat, scoring 44 runs in 22 balls, hitting 9 fours. He was sublime in his strokes as he played brilliant shots all around the ground.

Sooryavanshi’s knock was also lauded by several former Indian cricketers on social media. They praised the way he confidently dealt with the opposition pacers.
