Rajasthan Royals (RR) teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi lived up to the hype when he featured on former England captain Kevin Pietersen's YouTube show 'The Switch'.

During the episode, Pietersen tasked Sooryavanshi with scoring 100 runs from 50 balls. However, the 15-year-old surpassed the target in just 25 balls.

The viral challenge was broadcast immediately after Sooryavanshi's franchise, the Rajasthan Royals, officially qualified for the IPL 2026 playoffs.

Sooryavanshi hammered sixes all across the park en route his 25-ball century. Despite his explosive hitting, the youngster narrowly missed out on breaking Shreyas Iyer's record of a 22-ball ton on the same show.

Before starting his knock, Sooryavanshi confidently told Pietersen he would break Iyer's record, but he eventually finished second.

West Indies' Nicholas Pooran sits in third place, achieving the milestone in 28 balls on Pietersen's show, followed by South African great AB de Villiers, who took 30 deliveries to reach the three-figure mark.

During the interview with Pietersen, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi openly stated that his ultimate career goal is to hit the first-ever double century in T20 cricket and shatter Chris Gayle's legendary record of 175*.

"I want to break his record and score 200. If I bat for the full 20 overs in any game, I will definitely break that record," Sooryavanshi said.
