Sooryavanshi recent won the Player of the Tournament in India's U19 World Cup win.
Indian batting wonderkid Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was set to appear for his class 10th board exams, and there was an image of his admit card floating on social media as well.
However, reports have suggested that the 14-year-old Indian batter will miss his exams this year because he has not been able to prepare for them due to his cricketing commitments.
Vaibhav, who wowed with his outstanding batting in the U-19 World Cup, has decided to forego his Class 10 board exams due to a hectic schedule of training, camps, and tournaments. Vaibhav is a resident of Tajpur, Bihar, and attends Modesty School. He was slated to take exams from February 17 to March 11.
But now a report from NDTV has stated that Vaibhav's continual cricket activities took him away from home and school, which hampered his exam preparation.
Adarsh Kumar Pintu, director of Modesty School Tajpur, told NDTV that Vaibhav's test form had been filed and his admit card had been issued, with Podar International School serving as the exam center.
However, after discussing Vaibhav’s study readiness with his father, Sanjeev Sooryavanshi, it was decided that the youngster would skip the exams this year. Sooryavanshi was instrumental in leading India to the U19 World Cup title and is also set to feature in the IPL 2026 with the Rajasthan Royals.
Sooryavanshi ended the U19 World Cup as the second-highest scorer with 439 runs in seven games at a brilliant average of 62.71 and a strike rate of 169.49, including a hundred, three fifties, and a top score of 175. He smacked 30 sixes in this edition of the tournament.
He is the highest run-getter for India in U19 one-dayers, with 1,412 runs in 25 innings at a brilliant average of 56.48, with a strike rate above 165. Sooryavanshi has hit four centuries and seven fifties with the best score of 175.
