Virat Kohli will be next seen in action for India in ODI series against New Zealand.

Vikas Kohli, without taking any names, has taken a dig at critics of his brother Virat Kohli and stated that some of them cannot survive without taking the name of the star Indian batter.

Vikas Kohli had recently celebrated the New Year with his family and Virat’s family in Dubai and had taken to the Threads platform to take out his rage against unfair criticism of his brother.

“Seems like logon ki daal roti nahi chalti… bina Virat Kohli ka naam liye hue.” - Vikas Kohli posted on Threads.

While he has not taken any names, many fans have speculated that Vikas’s dig was aimed at former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar.

Manjrekar had recently made a video on social media about Virat Kohli while speaking on the brilliant form of England's star batsman Joe Root in Test cricket.

Manjrekar believes Virat Kohli should not have quit Test cricket so abruptly and should have attempted to return to the game. Regarding Test cricket, Manjrekar stated that Kohli abandoned the format he preferred. He maintained that the Fab-4 players from England, Australia, and New Zealand are still accumulating runs, despite Virat's decision to retire from Test cricket.

Virat Kohli's Test average has been around 31 over the last five years, and he has officially announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2025. However, Kohli has continued to play in ODIs for India, having retired from his T20I career in 2024.

Manjrekar had also stated that he wouldn’t have any issue if Kohli had retired from international cricket completely, but the fact that he has continued in ODIs for India disappoints him.
