Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had made 11 and 68 in the first two U19 one-day matches.
After scoring a scorching 190 for Bihar against Arunachal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, he is leading the India U19 team on the tour of South Africa for three ODIs. India already won the first two youth ODIs, and Sooryavanshi made 11 and 68 in the two games.
Muhammad Bulbulia, the SA U19 captain, won the toss in the third and final 50-over match being played at the Willowmoore Park, Benoni, and chose to bowl first. Indian openers Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Aaron George hammered the Proteas bowlers to all parts of the Benoni ground, in a 227-run partnership for the first wicket.
Aaron George made 118 in 106 balls with 16 fours, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the main aggressor. He hit 10 sixes and nine boundaries before getting out for 127 (74 balls) in the 26th over. He had reached his century in just 63 balls in a dominating show of batting.
Sooryavanshi did the ‘Pushpa’ celebration to acknowledge the Indian dressing room after reaching his century.
