Kohli recently made fun of Jaiswal's hairstyle by comparing it to Salman Khan's "Tere Naam" character.
Jaiswal slammed his maiden ODI hundred (116* off 121) in that match, while Kohli scored 65 not out off 45 balls. The duo was involved in an unbroken 116-run partnership, helping the Men in Blue chased down the target of 271 with nine wickets and 61 deliveries to spare.
Jaiswal has credited Kohli for guiding him in his career and helping him through the knock, but this time he highlighted the former India skipper’s hilarious side.
During the series, Kohli made fun of Jaiswal's hairstyle by comparing it to Salman’s character from famous Bollywood movie Tere Naam. The southpaw said that the batting stalwart kept on singing “Lagan Lag Gayi Re” song and dancing with him during his century in Vizag.
"There is a song called 'Lagan Lag Gayi Re'. So Kohli was singing that song to me and dancing. That was a fun conversation. Even before I went to bat, he was telling me things. His sense of humour is great, and he is very funny. But when he is serious, the entire world knows the level of intensity with which he plays. I really enjoy playing with him," said Jaiswal on Vimal Kumar's YouTube channel.
During the conversation, the young left-hander was also shown a clip of him working with Kohli in the nets ahead of his Test debut. Jaiswal said they keep having discussions about how he can improve his game.
"Yes, absolutely. We were talking a lot about things like — when the ball comes, what should my position be, what should I do so that I don’t get stuck. There were a lot of discussions."
"Technically, about how I can take my body towards the ball, how I can play on the front foot. A lot of technical things keep getting discussed. Even during normal matches, these discussions keep happening — what we can do better. And especially in the dressing room, when he feels that yes, I can improve here, I can improve there, it helps a lot," Jaiswal remarked.
