Moeen expressed his excitement for new beginning in PSL.
Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali on Monday (December 1) announced that he will feature in the 2026 edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), after being released by his IPL franchise ahead of upcoming auction.
Moeen, 38, becomes the second high-profile overseas player to confirm his participation in the PSL after Faf du Plessis made a similar announcement last week.
Taking to Instagram, Moeen expressed his excitement for new beginning in PSL. “I’m really excited to be joining HBL PSL in its New Era. The league has earned a reputation for top-level T20 cricket, with high-quality competition and world-class talent across every team. Playing in Pakistan is always incredible; quality of cricket is outstanding and the passion and intensity from the crowd push you to bring your best,” Moeen wrote.
“I’m looking forward to being part of it all and creating some great memories along the way. Ready for another special experience Insha’Allah!,” he added.
Moeen Ali has been a part of every IPL season since 2018, turning up for RCB, CSK and KKR in a total of 73 matches, amassing 1167 runs and claiming 41 wickets in that phase.
Moeen, who played for KKR in the 2025 season, was among a number of players released by the franchise ahead of the mini-auction, scheduled for December 16 in Abu Dhabi.
Moeen Ali has appeared in one PSL season previously, representing Multan Sultans in nine matches.
