Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (November 20) congratulated India opener Smriti Mandhana on her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal, calling the moment a joyous union of two accomplished individuals.
In a special message, PM Modi expressed hope that the couple would continue to inspire those around them with their journey together.
He wished the couple a happy life together and spoke about love, trust and togetherness in his letter, which has November 23 mentioned as the wedding day.
"May Smriti and Palaash build a shared life rooted in trust, standing by each other always, embracing responsibilities with love and growing together through each other’s strengths and imperfections," PM Modi wrote.
The video showed the quartet flaunting their dance skills on Bollywood song “Samjho Ho Hi Gaya” from Lage Raho Munna Bhai. In the final moments of the reel, Mandhana flashed her engagement ring as well.
