CSK defeated SRH by 8 wickets in the IPL 2018 final to secure their third IPL title.
Chennai Super Kings clinched the IPL 2018 title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday (May 27). While chasing the target of 179, CSK rode on Shane Watson’s breathtaking 117* off 57 balls to seal the final by 8 wickets in hand and 9 balls to spare.
As soon as Rayudu hit the winning boundary off Carlos Brathwaite’s bowling, the entire CSK camp went crazy in their celebrations. Such was the delight among the Men in Yellow that they couldn’t stop screaming even after collecting the trophy. Amidst the happiness, CSK skipper yet again exhibited his calm and composed demeanour as if it was another day at the office for him.
Dhoni collected the trophy from BCCI acting president CK Khanna and passed it to his troops and then the epic celebration started.

It was Chennai’s third IPL triumph under the legendary MS Dhoni and the first one after 7 years. With this win, CSK joined Mumbai Indians to become the only teams to win the title thrice.
Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, the elated CSK skipper, Dhoni said: We are going to Chennai tomorrow, meet a few people, the fans and some people who are close to the franchise. But we'll have a get-together in the hotel and celebrate.
