Sanju Samson top scored with 49.
Sunrisers Hyderabad hosted Rajasthan Royals for the first match for both teams in the IPL 2018. After three very good matches on the first two days, expectations were high from this match as well.
It was Sunrisers Hyderabad’s might bowling against Rajasthan Royals’ batsmen and here SRH bowlers won. Sanju Samson was the top scorer with 49 off 42 balls, with Rahane (13), Gopal (18) and Tripathi (17) contributed to a subpar total of RR.
Shakib Al Hasan picked up 2/23 in his four overs and Siddharth Kaul picked up 2 wickets as well for 27 runs. Even their fielding was brilliant with Short finding himself short of crease thanks to Williamson and Unadkat falling run out to the brilliance of Pathan and Saha.
Twitter seemed unimpressed by the batting performance put up by Rajasthan Royal and loved the way SRH bowlers bowled.

Leading an #IPL team very different from a national side, but #KaneWillamson has been excellent so far, on the ball, spot on changes #SRHvRR #BESTvsBEST

#SRHvsRR #IPL2018 Stanlake looked very impressive with his speed and extra bounce of the wicket. SRH bowling attack is looking solid for this season

Forget his legspin for a moment. Just how good is Rashid Khan in the field? That's a second sensational catch tonight. #SRHvRR #IPL2018

@rashidkhan_19 is such a brilliant fielder too! RR in a bind with Rahane, Stokes, Tripathi, Samson gone. Can Butler help them to 155-160?

Buttler been sent as a finisher. But the innings may finish before he even starts #SRHvRR
