RCB defeated PBKS in IPL 2025 final by 6 runs to become champions.
Hours after the Bengaluru police had put out a notification announcing that the open bus parade organized to celebrate the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise’s IPL 2025 title win has been canceled, the franchise gave a huge update to fans, revealing the parade was back on.
Police made it clear that there would not be a public roadshow because of logistical and security reasons, even as thousands of fans prepared to line the streets for the open-top bus parade from Vidhana Soudha to M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Instead, from 5 to 6 p.m., the team will take part in a felicitation event at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Additionally, the police stated that only individuals with legitimate tickets will be allowed entry.
However, hours after this announcement was made, the RCB franchise posted on their, that the victory parade was back on. The bus parade will be followed by celebrations at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
“RCB Victory Parade: Today at 5 pm IST. Victory Parade will be followed by celebrations at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. We request all fans to follow guidelines set by police and other authorities, so that everyone can enjoy the roadshow peacefully,” RCB posted on X, with a link to obtain free passes.
Meanwhile, enthusiastic supporters welcomed Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the recently crowned IPL winners, to the Garden City on Wednesday afternoon. Deputy CM of Karnataka DK Shivakumar, welcomed the RCB team at the airport.
Supporters gathered on both sides of the road to applaud the winning team as they made their way to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's office at the Vidhana Soudha. The RCB players are expected to attend a fan engagement event at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium after they meet with the CM.
