While Preity and co-owner Ness Wadia cheered in the stands, the PBKS dugout burst into raucous celebrations as soon as Shreyas smashed the winning runs. With her hands outstretched in the air, the Bollywood actress was spotted leaping before landing on the ground.
Before speaking briefly, Preity gave Shreyas and head coach Ricky Ponting hugs. During the presentation, she also gave Punjab Kings star Nehal Wadhera a wink.

This was the first time after 17 matches that MI failed to successfully defend a total of 200 plus. Shreyas Iyer also became the first captain to lead three teams- Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Punjab Kings- into the IPL final.
Nita Ambani, the MI owner, was left distraught as even her prayers weren’t heard as MI crashed out of the IPL 2025. She was seen holding her head and being in near tears as PBKS celebrated their final qualification.
