MI defeated DC by 59 runs at Wankhede to qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs.
At the legendary Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, the Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) by a resounding 59 runs, securing their spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs. The five-time winners secured the vital fourth and final playoff position after reaching 16 points.
Owner Nita Ambani of the Mumbai Indians, who was obviously thrilled with the team's impressive victory, broke up the festivities with a joyous appearance. During the game, while cameras were trained on the owners' bench, Ambani gestured with six fingers, indicating MI's desire to win a record-breaking sixth IPL championship.
Currently level with Chennai Super Kings at five titles each, a victory this season would place Mumbai in a league of their own.
