MI and CSK will square off at the Wankhede Stadium on April 20.
Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will square off in Match 38 of the IPL 2025 season at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 20).
The two teams share a long-standing rivalry and have a strong fanbase. Both the franchises have won the IPL titles five teams.
On the eve of the high-voltage encounter, MI’s ace pacer and the stand-in CSK skipper MS Dhoni shared a warm hug.
The wholesome moment went viral as the official account of CSK uploaded a video of their interaction on social media platforms.
In the clip, Bumrah can be seen walking over during his training session to greet Dhoni, who was padded up for nets. The two embraced each other before getting into a wholesome conversation, which showed the healthy camaraderie between them.
Here’s the video:
Earlier in the season, CSK had defeated MI by four wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Hardik Pandya will be keen to settle the score on Sunday, with Bumrah back in the side.
Notably, Bumrah joined Mumbai Indians last week after recovering from the lower back injury he sustained during the Australia tour earlier this year. He has featured in three matches so far, while MI have won three out of their seven games till now.
On the other hand, CSK are languishing at the bottom of the 10-team points table, with only victories under their belt from seven outings.
