A Pakistan journalist took a jibe at Indiana after he shared a video of Pakistan players ignoring the IPL 2024 final on Sunday, May 26. Pakistan players are currently in England for the 4-T20I series, which they trail 0-1 with two matches abandoned due to rain.
Over the previous several years, Pakistani players have been barred from participating in the lucrative IPL competition due to strained relations between the two countries, which has frequently resulted in dissatisfaction on both sides.
In a video circulating on social media, Pakistan players are seen walking through what looks to be a lounge while the television in the backdrop broadcasts the IPL final between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Imran Siddique, a Pakistani journalist, shared the video on his X account and taunted Indian fans by saying Pak players ignored IPL final.
He posted: “Pakistani Players ignored IPL Final”.
Another Pakistani X user shared the same video with caption: “On the one hand, the final match of IPL was playing on the big screen and the Pakistan team was ignoring it. Sorry IPL No Respect for you.”
This led to the Indian cricket fans on X reminding them that Pakistan players are not allowed in IPL and gave apt replies to the taunts.
