Rinku Singh was over the moon after KKR defeated SRH to lift their third IPL title.
The KKR camp erupted into celebrations after the resounding victory but Rinku seemed to be in a different zone altogether.
The southpaw didn’t get enough opportunities to showcase his talent this season. He was also overlooked by the selectors in India’s 15-member T20 World Cup 2024 squad. However, Rinku looked in great spirits and celebrated the IPL triumph like no other in the KKR camp.
After the final win, Rinku and his KKR teammate Nitish Rana had a chat with Rishabh Pant over a video call.
Pant, who is currently in New York with the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup, called up his mates to congratulate them on the title triumph. While Nitish asked Pant about his health, Rinku informed him about his arrival.
“Bhaiyya, I’m coming on the 28th,” said Rinku, who will travel to the T20 World Cup as a reserve player.
After lifting the IPL trophy, Rinku Singh is now aiming to at lift the World Cup with his Indian teammates in America.
“I’ve been playing this team for seven years now and for the first time, I’m getting an opportunity to lift the IPL trophy. I am truly very happy,” Rinku said in a video posted by IPL on social media.
“A dream of mine is fulfilled but there’s one more – the World Cup. I’ll be leaving for the US in a few days, all alone, which will be tough for me. But I will lift the World Cup for sure,” he added.
