IPL 2024: WATCH- Shubman Gill wins hearts as he touches Abhishek Sharma’s mother’s feet for blessings

SRH qualified for the playoffs of IPL 2024 after their game got rained out against GT.

Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill melted hearts on social media with his brilliant gesture as he met Punjab teammate Abhishek Sharma’s mother after his team’s IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was rained out in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Sunrisers Hyderabad advanced to the IPL playoffs after the match was abandoned without a toss, while Gujarat Titans' 2022 season was already over.

A video that has gone viral shows Gujarat Titans skipper Gill meeting the family of Abhishek Sharma, who has been in excellent form for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In the video, Gill bends down to touch Abhishek's mother's feet, and she expresses her love and affection for Gill by patting his back and blessing him. Gill also shakes hands with Abhishek's sister in the heartwarming footage.

Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma both play for Punjab in domestic cricket and were also teammates when India won the 2018 U19 World Cup. Gill scored 426 runs in 12 matches in IPL 2024, while Abhishek has scored 401 runs in 12 matches.
