RCB and CSK are due to square off at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 18.
Two days ahead of the clash, CSK icon MS Dhoni received a warm welcome in the RCB camp. In a heartwarming gesture, the 42-year-old visited the RCB dressing room, where he was offered a hot cup of tea by the team's support staff.
The official Instagram handle of RCB shared a video of Dhoni’s visit to their dressing room. In the clip, the former CSK skipper can be seen donning his team’s training kit.
After receiving the cup of tea, Dhoni made a 'cheers' gesture and left the dressing room. RCB captioned the post, "Welcome to Bengaluru Mahi."
The much-awaited clash between RCB and CSK is in danger of being washed out at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The weather forecast has predicted the possibility of "showers and a thunderstorm" in Bengaluru for the next five days from May 17 to May 21.
In case of a washout, both teams will be awarded a point each. However, RCB will crash out of the tournament while CSK will enter the IPL 2024 playoffs.
As of today, the defending champions are holding third spot in the team standings with 14 points from 13 games. On the other hand, RCB are placed at the sixth position with 12 points from 13 matches.
