Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Jasprit Bumrah gave a young fan a memory worth cherishing for a lifetime at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow during the IPL 2024 clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Bumrah is the leading wicket-taker this season so far, with 14 scalps in 10 games at an average of 18.28 and an economy rate of 6.40. His best figures are 5/21. However, his bowling form has not been able to help MI from remaining the 9th spot in the IPL 2024 points table.

LSG won the toss and opted to field first. MI managed to recover from 27/4 thanks to Nehal Wadhera (46 in 41 balls, with four boundaries and two sixes), Ishan Kishan (32 in 36 balls, with three fours), and Tim David (35* in 18 balls, with three fours and a six), as they finished with a final total of 144/7.

LSG also had trouble on the slow wicket during the chase. But Stoinis' knock of 62 in 45 balls, with seven fours and two sixes, proved to be just enough to take LSG to a four-wicket win.

After the match ended, as Jasprit Bumrah was walking back to the pavilion, he saw a young fan near the grills. He decided to hand over his prestigious Purple Cap to the kid and also signed an autograph for the young fan, leaving him very happy.

"That kid now has a core memory for life #MumbaiMeriJaan #MumbaiIndians #LSGvMI | @Jaspritbumrah93," posted MI.
