Rinku revealed to Kohli that he had broken his bat that was given to him earlier.
Rinku, who met Virat on the eve of the match, admitted that he broke the bat handed to him by the RCB star. As Rinku recounted how the bat was destroyed, Kohli stated that he was not in the mood to give him another bat after the KKR star broke the previous one.
On March 29, RCB hosted KKR at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Virat Kohli had made 83 in 59 balls in RCB’s heartbreaking loss. However, Kohli had gifted a bat to Rinku Singh after the match at his request.
Now three weeks later, as KKR host RCB at the Eden Gardens, Rinku went to Kohli with the same request yet again, but this time found himself amid an uncomfortable conversation. Virat Kohli was not happy with Rinku Singh breaking his bat which he had gotten from him just a few days before.
KKR shared the video of the conversation between the two cricketers, as Kohli scolds Rinku for breaking his bat and then annoyingly turns down his request for another bat.
Here is how the conversation went:
Rinku: “Bhai spinner pe toot gaya (bat).”
Virat: “Mera bat? Spinner pe tod diya tune?”
Virat: “Kahan se toota?”
Rinku: “Ye fatt gaya pura idhar se.”
Virat: “To mai kya karu bhai?”
Rinku: “Kuchh nahi, mai bata raha tha.”
Virat: “Koi nahi, bata diya tune, badiya hai. Mujhe information nahi chahiye.”
(Rinku starts knocking the ball on a couple of Virat's bats)
Virat: “Bekar bat hai yaar.”
Rinku: “Toh bhej rahe ho aap?”
Virat: “Kisko bhej rahe ho?”
Rinku: “Lo yaar, rakh lo” (returns both the bats he was knocking on)
Virat: “Ek match pehle le gaya tu bat. Do match mei tujhe do bat du? Teri wajah se jo meri baad mei halat hoti hai na...”
Rinku: “Aapki kasam kha raha hu mai fir nahi todunga kabhi bat. Toot ke rakhi hai, aapko dikhata hu.”
