Ravindra Jadeja (57*) and Moeen Ali (30) added 51 runs for the sixth wicket. However, MS Dhoni's 9-ball 28* cameo at the end helped CSK reach 176/6 in 20 overs.
In response, Quinton de Kock (54) and KL Rahul (82) contributed 134 runs for the first wicket, putting LSG ahead. The duo effortlessly hit the CSK bowlers into all corners of the Lucknow ground. De Kock smashed five fours and one six, while Rahul hit nine fours and three sixes in his innings.
Following their removal, Nicholas Pooran (23*) and Marcus Stoinis (8*) sealed an easy 8-wicket victory for LSG, who finished on 180/2 with one over to spare.
