Travis Head made a mockery of the RCB bowling attack at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Opening the innings, Head launched a brutal attack on RCB bowlers right from the word go. The southpaw added 108 runs for the first wicket with Abhishek Sharma in just 8 overs.
While Sharma got out after scoring 34 off 22 balls, Head continued his carnage and went on to slam a hundred in just 39 deliveries. He notched up his maiden IPL ton with a boundary off Vijaykumar Vyshak in the 12th over.
A over later, Lockie Ferguson dismissed Travis Head for 102 off 41 balls. His brutal knock was studded with 9 fours and 8 sixes.
Subsequently, Heinrich Klaasen made the most of the perfect platform set by the SRH openers as he smashed 67 off 31 balls, including 2 fours and 7 sixes.
The likes of Abdul Samad (37* off 10) and Aiden Markram (32 off 17) also wreaked havoc on RCB in the death overs, propelling SRH to a gigantic 283/3 in 20 overs – the highest total in IPL history.
It is worth noting here that the Sunrisers Hyderabad had racked up a mammoth 277/3 earlier in the season against Mumbai Indians. They have now surpassed that mark to better their own record.
Cricket fraternity was left stunned by SRH batters’ breathtaking display against the RCB attack in their own den.
