Hero worship in cricket is nothing new, as supporters have their favorites and will take great measures to make their idols proud. Australia’s Pat Cummins has become a fan favorite since taking over as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain in IPL 2024.

Cummins replaced Aiden Markram as captain and under his leadership, SRH moved to the 5^th spot in the IPL 2024 points table after their recent win over Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on April 9.

SRH shelled out a whopping amount of Rs 20.50 crore to acquire the services of Cummins at the IPL 2024 auction and named him captain.

SRH has registered 3 wins in 6 matches under Cummins’ leadership. As for his performance with the ball, Cummins has been in fine form scalping six wickets.
