LSG was captained by Nicholas Pooran in this match as KL Rahul played as an impact player. Pooran won the toss and chose to bat first. Quinton de Kock (54), Pooran (42) and Krunal Pandya (43* in 22 balls) powered LSG to 199/8 in 20 overs.
For PBKS, Sam Curran took three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh scalped 2.
In reply, the PBKS openers Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow, added 102 runs for the first wicket in 11.2 overs. Debutant Mayank Yadav was bought into the attack by Pooran in the 10th over and he started by bowling at 147 kph.

And also took the wickets of Prabhsimran Singh (19) and Jitesh Sharma (6) as well. He finished with 3/27 in his 4 overs on debut.
Meanwhile, skipper Shikhar Dhawan played a lone hand of 70 in 50 while an injured Liam Livingstone made 28* in 17 balls to reduce the margin of defeat. PBKS ended their 20 overs at 178/5 and lost to LSG by 21 runs in the end. Apart from Mayank, Mohsin Khan took two wickets for LSG.
