IPL 2024: Cricket fraternity reacts as CSK win their 2nd match in a row, defeat GT by 63 runs

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continued their good form in the IPL 2024 and won their second game in a row. They defeated the Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 26, 2024, at their home in Chennai.

GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl first. CSK posted 206/6 with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra both scoring 46 each. Then Shivam Dube made 51 in 23 balls and Daryl Mitchell finished well with 24*. For GT, Rashid Khan took 2/49.

In response, the Gujarat Titans never had the momentum in their innings to chase that big total. Shubman Gill fell early for 8 runs and Wriddhiman Saha, stunned by a bouncer to the head, fell for 21 runs. Sai Sudharsan top-scored with 37 runs, while David Miller made 21.

GT could only manage 143/8 in 20 overs and lost by 63 runs. For CSK, Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpande, and Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets each. Shivam Dube was named the Player of the Match for his fifty.

The cricket fraternity lauded CSK for a total team effort and praised them for their second win in the IPL 2024.
