Faf du Plessis is confident in RCB's preparation for the IPL clash against CSK.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis is eagerly awaiting the IPL 2024 opener against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), where cricketing giants MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli will once again go head-to-head at the Chepauk stadium on Friday, March 22.
This highly anticipated match marks the 17th IPL season for both Kohli and Dhoni, who have been prominent figures in the tournament since its beginning.
As Kohli looks to regain his form after a period of paternity leave, Dhoni will be embracing a new role after he hands over the CSK captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad on the eve of the IPL 2024.
Reflecting on the CSK vs. RCB clash, Du Plessis expressed confidence in RCB's preparation during a training session and said that it is an exciting way to kick off the IPL season with Kohli and Dhoni being against each other in Chennai.
Faf du Plessis said in a video posted by RCB: “It has been a really great week, Andy and Mo have done some incredible things. We really gel together as a squad, so it has been good preparation.”
He added, “Obviously, what better way can you start the IPL, than the game you have tomorrow, two of India's greatest - MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in the opening match of the IPL, so everyone is just excited for the game.”
