Rishabh Pant is on the right path for his return to cricketing action in the IPL 2024, as reportedly he showed no signs of discomfort or anything during a warm-up match in Alur near Bengaluru.

As per a report in Cricbuzz, Pant actively participated in a warm-up game in Alur, demonstrating positive signs of recovery. It is the first match for Pant after a long time. He is undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

Pant had also gone to London for treatment last month arranged by the BCCI.

The report also suggested Pant's mobility has not been hindered, with sources confirming his ability to run and bat with the same agility and freedom as before the accident in December 2022 that sidelined him for close to 15 months.

Sources within the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and his IPL franchise have indicated that the 26-year-old cricketer is poised to lead the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. His franchise, Delhi Capitals (DC) have expressed confidence in Pant's leadership.

But he is set to return as a pure batter, with the wicketkeeping duties to be handled by another player.

There is a perceptible sense of optimism surrounding Pant's potential involvement in the IPL, contingent upon receiving clearance from the NCA authorities.
