Pat Cummins was the first player in IPL history to get bids of over INR 20 crores.
A total of 333 players are up for grabs to fill 77 slots in this mini-auction. 47 slots are to be filled by Indians and 30 slots are for overseas players. Each franchise has INR 100 crs as a purse for the auction.
The capped wicketkeepers set saw the likes of Phil Salt, KS Bharat, Tristan Stubbs, Josh Inglis, and Kusal Mendis going under the hammer.
However, only Tristan Stubbs and KS Bharat managed to find any buyers. Stubbs was bought by Delhi Capitals for his base price of INR 50 lakhs. KS Bharat, on the other hand, found a buyer in Kolkata Knight Riders for his base price of INR 50 lakhs.
The best bids came for the capped fast bowlers set which had some big names like Umesh Yadav, Alzarri Joseph, and more.
