Jadeja hit the winning runs off Mohit Sharma to help CSK win the final by 5 wickets via DLS method.
Earlier, thanks to a half-century from Wriddhiman Saha and a knock of 96 runs from Sai Sudharsan, Gujarat had posted 214/4, the highest total in an IPL final.
Then rain halted play for two hours and CSK’s target was revised to 171 runs in 15 overs.
Devon Conway led the charge with 47 runs, while cameos from Ruturaj Gaikwad (26), Ajinkya Rahane (27 in 13 balls), and Ambati Rayudu (19 off 8 balls) kept them in the game. Shivam Dube with 32* and Ravindra Jadeja hit a six and a four off the last two balls of the 15th over when 10 runs were needed to win the final and the title for Chennai Super Kings.
After hitting the winning runs, Jadeja ran to MS Dhoni and hugged his captain in heartwarming moment.
Jadeja was also seen celebrating with his family as he received a warm hug from his wife Rivaba Jadeja and then posed with the trophy with her and their daughter.
