Suryakumar hit his maiden IPL ton in this match after 3 T20I centuries.
Hardik Pandya, the GT captain, won the toss and decided to chase as no total is seemingly defendable on the Wankhede pitch off late. Both the teams came into this match unchanged.
MI had a flying start as openers Ishan Kishan (31 in 20) and Rohit Sharma (29 in 18) added 61 runs in 6 overs. However, GT vice-captain, Rashid Khan came into the attack and removed both Rohit and Ishan in quick succession.
He also got rid of MI’s hero last match, Nehal Wadhera as well for 15 runs.

But Surya hammered the best of GT bowlers everywhere in the ground. He even hit Mohammad Shami for some unbelievable shots in the death overs.
He reached his maiden IPL century on the last ball of the MI innings. Hitting a six and finished on 103* in 49 balls with 11 fours and 6 sixes. His blitz took MI to a final total of 218/5 in 20 overs.
For GT, Rashid Khan picked 4/30 and completed the 550-wicket milestone in his 403rd T20 match.
