Jadeja said that the crowd wants him to get out so that they can get to see the CSK skipper bat.
Notably, Jadeja earned the Player-of-the-Match award after CSK’s comprehensive victory over DC, which also boosted their playoff chances.
While Jadeja played a cameo of 16-ball 21 to help CSK post 167/8 on the board, he returned with the bowling figures of 1 for 19 in his four overs.
"As a spinner, feels good when the ball is turning and holding. We practise here, we know what is the ideal length and pace. The visiting team needs time to adapt. We are taking advantage of the home conditions. Everyone is doing their job. We are doing a good job collectively. (On batting higher) I keep hearing Mahi bhai's chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy," said Jadeja in the post-match presentation.
While Jadeja’s comments in the presentation ceremony were on a lighter note, he later liked a controversial tweet which suggests that the southpaw is certainly not happy with the CSK fans.
The tweet that Jadeja liked says, “Jaddu saying this with a smile but lot of pain inside… Believe me it’s a trauma! Imagine your own team spectators not supporting you waiting for your wicket! Still criticizing you even after winning 3 man of the matches!”
On the other hand, the all-rounder has claimed 16 wickets at an average of 19.18 and an economy rate of 7.13. His best bowling figures are 3/20.
