Buttler was castled on the second ball of the first over of RR innings by Siraj.
With regular captain Faf du Plessis still nursing an injury, RCB opted to feature the veteran South African batter as an Impact Player for the second time after doing so against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their previous match in Mohali.
Table toppers Rajasthan Royals bowled first after captain Sanju Samson won the toss.
RCB lost their captain Virat Kohli's first ball for a duck and after that wicket, Faf du Plessis (62) and Glenn Maxwell (77) consolidated the innings as RCB posted a good total of 189/9 in 20 overs. Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma picked two wickets each for Rajasthan.
The total was a steep one considering the slow nature of the Bengaluru pitch and RCB needed to boost their chances with early wickets. And who better than Mohammed Siraj to provide them with one, as he has been in excellent form this IPL.
He did the necessary as he castled Jos Buttler on the second ball of the first over of the RR innings.
It was a perfect delivery early as it tailed into the RR opener, which had a wobble seam on a length outside the off-stump. But the ball came into Buttler and as he tried to play it away from his body, snuck through the gap and rattled his timbers.
