Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 13 runs at Wankhede Stadium.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) registered a 13-run win over Mumbai Indians (MI) in a high-scoring game at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday (April 22) in Match 31 of IPL 2023.
MI captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first, a decision that backfired as PBKS posted a massive total of 214/8 on the board, including 96 runs in the last five overs. Sam Curran (55) and Harpreet Bhatia (41) were the top run-getters, but Jitesh Sharma's 7-ball 25 proved to be the gamechanger.
Piyush Chawla and Cameron Green picked two wickets apiece for MI. In reply, Rohit Sharma (44), Green (67) and Suryakumar Yadav (57) put up strong performances, while Tim David struck 25* in 13 balls but MI fell 13 short of their target to finish at 201/6.

Speaking on his performance after the game, Arshdeep Singh said, “Feels good whenever I take wickets. Right now I feel even happier as the team won. I have shortened my run-up as it helped me with the no-ball problem and I am enjoying my cricket at the moment.”
