MI won the toss against PBKS and chose to bowl first at Wankhede.
Arjun had gone wicketless in his debut match in IPL 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Mumbai, but managed to scalp his first victim in Bhuvneshwar Kumar in MI’s clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Hyderabad.
However, this time, at the Wankhede Stadium, Arjun Tendulkar hurt PBKS badly after Cameron Green had Matthew Short caught by Piyush Chawla for 11 after MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to chase.
Arjun Tendulkar gave MI their second wicket when he bowled a brilliant yorker to Prabhsimran Singh, who was giving PBKS good starts. The ball hit Singh flush on the boots and was given out, but the PBKS batter decided to review.
Replays showed that the ball hit the boots first and the ball tracking showed three reds, giving Tendulkar his second IPL wicket and first at home ground, Wankhede Stadium.
