MI defeated SRH by 14 runs with Cameron Green scoring a fifty and picking one wicket.
SRH captain Aiden Markram won the toss and chose to bowl first. Rohit Sharma (28) and Ishan Kishan (38) gave MI a decent start of 41 runs in 4.4 overs. Then Cameron Green (64* in 40 with 6 fours and 2 sixes), along with Tilak Varma (37 in 17 with 4 sixes and 2 fours) and Tim David (17) helped the team reach 192/5 in 20 overs.
In reply, SRH lost key batters like Harry Brook (9), Rahul Tripathi (7) and Abhishek Sharma (1) quite early. Then, Mayank Agarwal (48) and Aiden Markram (22) steadied the ship a bit, but the SRH team was always behind the required run rate.
They needed some quick runs from the middle order and though Heinrich Klaasen made 36 in 16 balls, MI kept picking wickets by building pressure on the batters. This included young Arjun Tendulkar who bowled an excellent 20th over under pressure while defending 20 runs.
He bowled to the field and even managed to dismiss Bhuvneshwar Kumar to end SRH innings at 178 and celebrated his maiden IPL wicket with gusto, as captain Rohit Sharma took the catch.
MI won the match by 14 runs with Jason Behrendorff and Riley Meredith picking 2 wickets each. With this win, MI moved to the 6th spot in the points table with 3 wins in 5 matches and SRH is now placed at the 9th spot with 2 wins in 5 matches.
The cricket fraternity lauded the MI team for their outing and praised Arjun Tendulkar for his maiden IPL scalp and excellent temperament on Twitter.
