Shivam Dube's 52 helped CSK to 226/6 in 20 overs.
Faf du Plessis of RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first on a typical Bengaluru pitch. Mohammed Siraj accounted for Ruturaj Gaikwad early.
Then Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane got the CSK innings back on track with an entertaining 74-run partnership for the second wicket. Ajinkya Rahane fell for 37 runs in 20 balls which had 2 sixes and 3 fours in his knock.
Devon Conway fell for 83 runs in 45 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes and in walked Shivam Dube on no.4 and got the better of RCB bowlers from the go. Firstly, he hit Glenn Maxwell for a big 101m six that hit the roof of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
However, the awe-smacking moment came in the 13th over when on the second ball, Harshal Patel aimed for a slower yorker but got his length wrong. For Dube, it became a full toss and the left-hander muscled it over the long-on fielder onto the roof of the stadium.
The graphic showed that the ball went 111 meters into orbit.
Here is the video:
Dube fell for 52 in just 27 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours to his name, while CSK finished on 226/6 in 20 overs.
