The duo of Samson and Hetmyer put on 59 runs for the fifth wicket. While Samson was dismissed in the 15th over for 32-ball 60, Hetmyer held the one end firmly and added 47 runs for the sixth wicket with Dhruv Jurel (18 off 10) to put RR on the brink of victory.
Hetmyer stayed unbeaten on 56 off 26 balls whereas R Ashwin chipped in with a handy cameo of 10 in 3 balls to take Rajasthan Royals over the finishing line in 19.2 overs.
