KL Rahul led Lucknow Super Giants to IPL 2022 playoffs.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir heaped praise on captain KL Rahul for having the ability to remain calm and composed in the pressure situations.
The former Indian batter further said that the LSG is fortunate to have Rahul as captain in the IPL while lamenting not having a very stable and balanced head like the right-hander.
The LSG mentor also mentioned that it's the captain's body language that influences how a team performs in high-pressure matches in the IPL. Notably, the LSG reached the play-offs in their inaugural season in 2022 under the captaincy of Rahul.

Gautam Gambhir said at the LSG's jersey launch for the IPL 2023: “It starts with the captain. The captain is the flag bearer of the team. It is the captain's team. All of us in the dressing room are there to support him. No support staff is under as much pressure as the captain.”
He added, “It is the body language of the captain that will decide how we perform. We are very fortunate to have someone like KL Rahul, who has a very stable and balanced head. I wish I had it, I did not have that. I was very extreme, but it did work for me.”
Gambhir signed off by saying, “For a franchise like Lucknow, it is important to have someone like KL at the helm. Going forward, this is going to be a massive positive for us.”
