Shubman Gill's six in IPL 2022 final ignited wild celebrations among his teammates and helped Gujarat Titans win the title in their first season.
The gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad erupted in cheers after Gill dragged Rajasthan Royals' Obed McCoy over deep square leg, taking GT to glory in their maiden IPL tournament. With 11 balls remaining in the final, GT defeated RR by seven wickets.
Gill's celebrations resembled those of former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli.

After the shot soared over the boundary, Gill removed his helmet and let out a shout.
David Miller, his partner, was the first to hug him. Miller, who was the aggressor in the partnership, hammered 32* off 19 balls to finish the match, while Gill remained unbeaten on 45 off 43 balls. At the end of the match, the pair had a partnership of 47 off 29 balls.
Hardik Pandya, the captain of the GT team, was the star of the show, with figures of 3/17 to restrict Rajasthan to 130 for nine. He went on to score 34 runs before being chased down by Gill and Miller.
Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 45, while David Miller made 32* in 19 balls as GT hunted down the 131-run target with 11 balls to spare.
Earlier, RR had made 130/9 with Jos Buttler making 39 and Yashasvi Jaiswal making 22.
