Hardik Pandya's 3/17 was his best bowling figures in IPL ever.
RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl first. RR went in unchanged, while GT made one change as Lockie Ferguson replaced Alzarri Joseph in the XI.
For GT, their captain shined with the ball, as RR failed to find any momentum. This is despite Yashasvi Jaiswal making 22 in 16 balls with one four and 2 sixes and Jos Buttler making 39 in 35 balls with 5 fours.
However, Hardik Pandya broke the back of the RR batting as he snared the wickets of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and then Shimron Hetmyer for 11 runs and finished with figures of 3/17 in his 4 overs.
Sai Kishore picked 2/20, while Rashid Khan bowled in middle overs for 1/18 in his 4 overs, as they kept things tight not letting RR get any room to free their arms.
RR finished on 130/9 in 20 overs as a result.
The cricket fraternity was all praises for Hardik Pandya for his excellent outing with the ball on Twitter.
