In 16 matches, Parag has scored 168 runs at an average of 16.80 with a strike rate of 143.58.
Lasith Malinga, the bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), stated he has truly liked Riyan Parag's fielding in IPL 2022.
Parag hasn't done much with the bat, but he's been outstanding on the field, catching 16 catches in as many games. Parag beat Ravindra Jadeja's record for most catches by a non-wicketkeeper fielder in a single IPL edition last week.
Malinga, who is one of the most prolific wicket-takers in IPL history, said he is astounded by the enthusiasm that Parag brings to the field.

“I have really been enjoying Riyan’s fielding in the last 15 matches. He has so much energy, he is so much athletic. He is always in the game.
We all know he didn’t get too many opportunities to bat. But the energy he brings with his game on the field is amazing. I don’t think you can see it in any other team. I am so happy with the energy and attitude that he brings to the team. This is the attitude we need,” Malinga said in a video on RR’s official Instagram handle.
