DC suffered a five-wicket defeat their final group league match against MI.
Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg reacted to Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant’s DRS blunder during the 69th match of the IPL 2022 against Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 21, as the five-wicket defeat denied DC a playoff berth, and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) progressed to the top four.
Delhi Capitals (DC) suffered a major heartbreak when Pant didn’t take DRS despite Tim David edging the first ball of his innings, and later it turned out to be the biggest mistake made by the DC skipper, as the Singaporean big-hitter went on to hit an 11-ball knock of 34 runs to snatch the match from Delhi.

After heavy criticism, Pant clarified that he "thought there was something but everyone standing in the circle was not convinced enough, so I was asking them 'should we go up' and at the end, I didn't take the review."
However, Brad Hogg wasn’t convinced by Pant’s explanation, as he felt taking the review was solely the responsibility of the captain.
Brad Hogg said in an Instagram video: “Last night, Pant and Thakur were affected greatly when Tim David nicked through to the keeper, and the umpire did not give it out. Tim David went on and belted the Delhi Capitals out of the final race. Firstly, let's go to Pant.”
He added, “Pant can't go to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and say, 'He's nicked it, go upstairs and pass the responsibility on. The responsibility of getting the review right is solely on Rishabh Pant. Last night, the responsibility affected him to hear the nick and back himself to go upstairs.”
