Rahul Tripathi is also dreaming to represent India at the highest level.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Rahul Tripathi impressed one and all with his fabulous batting display against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 65th match of the ongoing IPL 2022 on Tuesday (May 17).
Batting first at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, SRH lost opener Abhishek Sharma for 9, but it was Rahul (76 runs off 44 balls) and Priyam Garg (42 runs off 26 balls) who took control and helped the Orange Army post 193/6 against the MI on Tuesday.
After SRH’s successful defense of 193 runs, as MI fell just 3 runs short of the target, Tripathi said that he enjoyed batting at number three and trying to learn from every situation.

Rahul Tripathi in a post-match presentation: “I've enjoyed batting at three. It's important that if the openers have given a good start, then continue that. Or whatever the situation demands I'm trying to learn from that. Bumrah's a great bowler. Was just looking to react to whatever he's bowling.”
He added, “Depends on how the wicket is playing, how I can counterattack at that point. If it's there and I can take it on, I will definitely go for the shot. If it's not there then I'll just look to take those singles-doubles. To win games is more important, happy I could do that today.”
The batter concluded, “Sometimes when a bowler is bowling well, how to score those runs. In T20 there cannot be a moment where you can slow down. Every ball is an event so I just think about what could be the best result. When you play it's obviously your dream to represent your country.”
