Rahane suffered hamstring injury in KKR versus SRH match on May 14.
Taking to Twitter, KKR shared a video with the caption: “Ajinkya Rahane is going to miss the remaining games of #IPL2022 due to a hamstring injury. Wish you a speedy recovery, @ajinkyarahane88. The Knights camp will miss you.”
In the video, KKR head coach Brendon McCullum said: “Jinks (Ajinkya) yesterday, obviously got injured. He had a scan overnight, and he’s torn his tendon, for the next few weeks. Injury, so that show how tough he is, and how much we’re gonna miss him as well. So we wish you all the best Jinks.”
Rahane also thanked everyone at KKR for their help and support.
“Guys I really enjoyed my time, on and off the field with everyone. Learnt a lot as a cricketer… about life, about everything. Just want to thank all the players, support staff, Venky Sir, management people for all your help and support. I’ll definitely come back stronger next year,” he said.
Earlier, it was reported that Rahane has suffered a grade 3 hamstring injury and he might not tour England for the rescheduled fifth Test match, slated to be held at Edgbaston from July 1 to July 5.
