Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has been following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and he is particularly impressed with three young Indian players.

The three cricketers are Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Umran Malik, Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Tilak Varma, and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Ayush Badoni.

The '83' star said Tilak has played several 'mature' innings for MI and further stated that he sees him playing for Team India very soon.

"Tilak Verma, Umran Malik, and Aayush Badoni have big future prospects. It is exciting to see them play. I think all these players are the future of Indian cricket. Especially Tilak, he has played several good and mature innings for Mumbai Indians in the most difficult situations. I am seeing him play for Team India in all three formats very soon," Singh was quoted as saying in a statement issued by Star Sports.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis was also lauded by Ranveer for being one of the most “exciting” batters in the world.

"Du Plessis is one of the world's most exciting batsmen. It's a joy to watch him perform. It's poetry in action when he opens the mouth of his bat " he stated.

MI has had a rather disappointing outing in the ongoing IPL, but Varma has emerged as a big positive for the franchise. Having scored 334 runs in 11 matches, he is the highest run-scorer for the Rohit Sharma-led side.

Umran Malik of SRH has been the talk of the town for his breakneck speed. He recently bowled the fastest delivery of the IPL 2022 at 157kmph. In 11 matches, he has collected 15 wickets.

LSG has benefited greatly from the presence of Ayush Badoni. Badoni, 22, has 153 runs in 9 innings at 25.5 apiece while batting at number 6 in most matches.
